Something for Sunday

I.
Great thy Goodness
Wide thy Fame
Small my Beauty
Deep my shame

Wise thou art
And caring, too,
To wash my feet
Make me anew.

II.
Peace and stillness
Rest and solace
Sweet sleep in thine abode
Thy love thy strength
My home shall be
Thy light shall be my road.

III.
God's Power
To make Holy
what is not
To make Strong
what is weak
To make Perfect
even me.

IV.
What is this world
 to weep for?
To weep and laugh rather.
Joy, in God's love and power.
Joy, in his justice and mercy.
Joy, we suffer for a time,
Joy, to ever in his glory dwell!

V.
Incomprehensible
He fills more than me
He fills more than you
He fills more than our world and the next
He fills all creation
With his love
With his blood
With his pain, which once was ours
He loves this sad and broken world
He heals and washes and lifts
He brings us to heaven
He brings us to him
He brings us home, to him.
